Acclaimed for the scholarship of its prominent authors and the clarity of its narrative, AMERICAN GOVERNMENT: INSTITUTIONS AND POLICIES sets the standard for public policy coverage while maintaining focus on three fundamental topics: the institutions of American government; the historical development of governmental procedures, actors, and policies; and who governs in the United States and to what ends. User involvement in the material is bolstered by proven pedagogical features such as chapter outlines, "Who Governs?" and "To What Ends?" learning objective questions framing each chapter and "How Things Work" boxes that summarize important facts. The significantly enhanced media package with new online tools makes the learning experience engaging and accessible.
Very good quick review of all of the major points covered in a standard torts class. Used in conjunction with your case book, this will be a good tool come test time.

easy to read, sussinct, manageable, and not overbearing outline, a good outline to study another more complicated outline.
Excellent organized concise commercial outline

No nonsense and therefore great as a reference especially before final exam time. I highly recommend for black letter law layout in addition to another commercial outline depending on what casebook you use. Disadvantage - this one doesn't refer to case names- but this is what allows it to present the law concisely. Use it with another outline like Emanuel or Gilberts. It will provide the balance you will need to supplement your learning from the casebook reading. Some great review questions to test yourself on throughout the book. Plus two exam-type questions at the end with sample essay answers. Worth the price.
