Great for D.J's, fans and music historians

It's more like the year to year in number 1 songs for Billboard, it has also a good selection of the best sellings LP's of all time. It's a great way to search for the songs who were reigning at the charts, I love the 80's so it's a great compliment book to the Top 40. Get it if you are a music fan...you'll love it!!!

Quite a fine book indeed...

For music triva buffs, this fine, and short, book gives the top 1000 hits from 1954 to 1996. Not only does it name the songs, but it even tells how long they are, complies some nice statistics about the songs, and even gives some of the highest charting albums of all time. All in all, it's a fine beginning work for any chart buff.

GREAT SONG GUIDE

I really liked this book alot. The listing of the songs with their rank on the list was a fabulous addition. Giving the reader a clearer vision of exactly where the song stood on the charts helps the reader discover just how popular the song is. Also, this book comes in handy when choosing songs for parties, weddings,etc. A quick and easy reference guide, it gives you better perception of what year the song was from and how interesting it may be judged from it's rank. I would definately advise to have this book handy for all occasions.
