A Great Read!!

I absolutely loved this book. The story had great wit/humor, and very hot, very erotic sex between the ever sassy heroine Rowan and the yummy, sexy vamp Jack. The combination was totally combustible! I love reading vamp stories and this one is definitely a keeper. So if you want a humorous, erotic read with a vampire and some villainous action thrown in, this is for you!

Hannah Murray is rapidly becoming one of my favorite erotica authors. Her stories contain a good bit of humor mixed in with sizzling sex and "Tooth and Nailed" is no exception. Rowan is so mad! Just because there's a psycho nutjob after her to try and get to her father, he's saddled her with his Chief of Security Jack! The one man who just seems to rub her the wrong way. At least that's what she always thought, until she actually experienced his 'rub'. Now she's more confused than ever! Jack has had a hunger for Rowan for several years now. With his 'special' abilities, he's even known she's attracted to him too. Since they have to spend the next few weeks together anyway, he can think of several 'pleasant' ways to pass the time!! A great introduction to vampires

This was my first vampire erotica, but it definitely won't be my last! Rowan is a spunky heroine, with a sense of humor, and Jack is the hot, sexy, alpha hero. There's enough realism here to make me almost believe that there could really be vamps out there somewhere. And if I wasn't married, I'd be looking for them :)!

Rowan Evans is a schoolteacher who has spent the majority of her life surrounded by security because of her father's wealth and importance. She likes her way of life now and has absolutely no plans to ever allow herself to be forced to have a security team ever again. Rowan has known for a while that a radical group has targeted her father, but she has just learned that the group has been sending her father new messages and that they are now targeting her. This brings Rowan to the only rough spot in her life right now...her father's chief of security, Jack Donnelly. Jack Donnelly has spent most of his life trying to keep people safe from all types of psychos and radical groups. For Jack, it has been a very long life so far because he happens to be a vampire. Jack has determined the best way to keep Rowan safe from the radicals after her and her father is to get her way. With her father's help and approval, Jack is going to kidnap her and take to his home in Ireland. Rowan is put out to wake up in Ireland, and then she learns exactly how the nuts after her father are threatening her. Facing weeks of basic house arrest with Jack is going to push Rowan's independence and self-control to the limits. Rowan has finally admitted to herself that the main reason Jack pushes her buttons so badly is because she is so sexually drawn to him. After a passionate encounter, Rowan learns Jack's secret, but it doesn't make a difference to how she feels about him. Rowan and Jack work out a compromise for her need for independence and his need to keep her safe with humor and passion. Thinking the head of the group has been arrested; Rowan returns home much to Jack's misgivings and is taken by the very group that Jack was trying to save her from. Jack will have to use every advantage he has to find Rowan and get her away safely. When unexpected events happen, Jack and Rowan are forced to make a decision to save Rowan that will affect their lives forever. Tooth and Nailed turned out to be a very unusual vampire story. The entire plot was based on humor and a realistic outlook from both the main characters; the fact that one of them is a vampire was almost secondary. While both Rowan and Jack came from very different backgrounds, the way they looked at life is actually very similar. Jack has always known that Rowan could be very special to him if she would just give him the chance, while Rowan is worried that Jack only wants her for a short time and will then leave her. I immediately fell for both Rowan and Jack and loved how they worked through everything that came at them. Ms. Murray has shown how love and humor are both very important parts of a great relationship that can last forever - even when the cards are against you.
