Dr. Custer's book is can be a valuable resource for anyone serious about building a library or just looking for a few commentaries. With so many books available, it is often difficult to determine the doctrinal soundness of an author you're not familiar with. Dr. Custer gives a recommended list for many subjects and most books of the Bible. He includes notes for each book he recommends to further assist in choosing the best one for you. He also selects books that compliment each other as no commentary would give you every approach to Bible study.
