Felton made his film debut as Peagreen Clock in The Borrowers, which he had been appearing in commercials for since his birth in Surrey (1997). He first gained attention for his role as Louis T. Leonowens in Anna and the King (1999), which led to his eventual selection for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001). Seven films later, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Felton made his final appearance in the franchise (2011). Felton made an appearance in the science fiction film Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011). Subsequently, he had roles in the independent films From the Rough (2011) and The Apparition (2012).
