Bought with good condition for under 5 dollars

Bought this book in good condition, about what you’d expect on the label. The covers were a bit torn but the pages were still very good save for some mild yellowing, definitely worth the money for a quick buy The story itself is very good, naturally, the first volume doesn’t carry as much as later ones but definitely holds up. Would recommend. Finally, when I received the package I got 2 gift cards?? I haven’t tried them so I don’t know if they’re still valid, I don’t really know what that was about. Pretty sweet deal though if they work 7/10 overall

good quality, and came fast! amazing art and story

I loved tokyo ghoul anime anime, and I wanted to read the manga. I bought the good used version copy and there were no damages and it came fast! highly recommend reading. it has some of the best art, if ur into sci-fi-horror seinen pieces. i would go for it!

Reread of my favorite series.

Ken Kaneki is your average human bookworm, so when the gorgeous Rize asks him out, he is thrilled. While on their date an accident occurred, causing Kaneki to go through a life saving, albeit shady procedure, by a even shadier doctor, turning his life upside down and forcing him to become the thing the human world fears the most; a ghoul. Man eating creatures that can only survive on the flesh of humans. Being thrust into the world of ghouls he must learn how to navigate and walk the line between both worlds to keep his humanity while simultaneously eating human meat. Part of why I love this series is the heart that is behind the severed limbs. Kaneki and his best friend Hide, and the care Mr. Yoshimura has for humans and ghouls alike, are just the beginning examples of the heart this series has. While the art is still black-and-white, with a heavy hand on the black side, the series has plenty of color to describe the character's personalities and beautiful raw emotions thriving in the pages. Please be warned, there is gore. While it is not to an excessive point, it is detailed, one of the many things beautifully illustrated in this book. It's not for everyone, but I absolutely adore this series. Fans of horror and psychological fiction, and other series like Ajin: Demi-Human would love Tokyo Ghoul like I do.

Oddly Really Good

I read this a few months ago. It seemed strange, but I read it anyway. What entailed was one of the most graphic, haunting, mangas I have ever read. It was intense and engrossing to the point I read it completely in one sitting and immediately kept reading the other four the person had. I have since began reading the series to completion, only on book 6. Several characters are demented self righteous and it makes sense, to those respective characters. One of the best mangas I have read in recent years , including, even though he gets beat up a lot, with a main character who seems like he should be a coward, a main character I enjoy watching develop. The aesthetic, the world, side characters, their personal motivations, add to the total dynamic of the series. The major flaw of this series is that after the first book, it devolves into a cookie cutter shonen manga, with a few tweaks. By no means is it bad, I enjoy the action, the plot and its twist and turns. It never ceases being a fun trip into an alternate world with ghouls and the twisted humans payed by the state to hunt them.

I love Tokyo ghoul

I just received my own copy from here, and while it looks new as told, some of the pages were ripped which disappointed me. If you are gonna sell something second hand you should tell people some of the defects or damages on the book. Or have better packaging for the items that way people don't receive it damaged.
