I picked this up just on a whim at the library and had to buy my own copy. I have 2 daughters, 14 and 5 and they love it! Some of the suggestions CAN be a little intimidating, but practice on a piece of paper can help at first. I currently have grass green nails with orange flowers and yellow middles. LOTS of compliments on them. My youngest has red with white polkadots. The older is visiting grandmother but checked the website and no telling what she's doing. the suggestion for an old eyeliner brush is a good one, but add a capful of polish remover and paper towel to dip between strokes and clean. I have a feeling that we'll be doing polish parties at slumber parties this year. Have a wedding planning for fall and have some great ideas for it. I do suggest using the less expensive polishes until you are good at it...they stay on just fine and wear well with a good topcoat. The instructions are quite clear and a great jumping off place for your own ideas. All around well-written book and LOTS of fun.
