This fantastic resource is the only book needed for a complete toddler art program. It includes more than 100 no-fail ideas for open-ended, sensory experiences sure to captivate busy young children.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book has many great ideas to keep your little one busy. The book is designed from kids 18 months to 3 years old. It includes simple art projects including how to make homemade fingerpaint, playdough and paste. The chapter are: getting started, choosing art supplies, displaying toddler art, drawing, painting, printing, collages & sticky stuff, dough & more and seasonal fun. I would have rated this book 5 stars, except that some of the art projects aren't very artist. For example "tearing box" & "wadded paper" are just encouraging your toddler to tear paper into small pieces and wad paper into balls. Although the author is careful to stress to the children that only the paper you give them is okay to tear or wad, I don't know of many kids under three that will be able to make the distinction. Another art project involves using bingo markers, which are usually permanent ink. Not the best choice for use with children under 3.
Excellent resource!
