To Protect His Own by Brenda Mott released on Jul 12, 2005 is available now for purchase. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Caitlin Kramer's life was ruined. She was hoping to be an Olympic Stadium jumper. Now she has to settle for rehab. She is a stubborn, willful, do-it-on-my own kind of person. And very close to her brother, Dillon and her mother and Gran. Alex Hunter and his daughter, Hallie, have just moved from Denver onto a small farm next to the one Caitlin rents. Neither wants a neighbor. Alex is hoping to help his daughter heal from a traumatic experience and to protect her. He eventually learns that he can't protect her from herself. He strikes up an acquaintance with Caitlin because his daughter definitely shows signs of being interested in horses. Of which Caitlin has three, Red Fire, Silver Fox and Black Knight. Red Fire soon becomes the ingredient that spikes Caitlin's looking forward to riding again and bringing to light a bit of Hallie's problem. Poor Alex doesn't know how to deal with these two females but he keeps trying. Never could justify their "nooners". A nice, satisfying plot that works out well. Recommended --m I sure love the cover.
Heartwarming!

Caitlin Kramer suffered a horrible tragedy that robbed her of her dream. She's retreated to a small, isolated farm house, only to find the deserted house across the street is now occupied by a gorgeous man and his daughter. Alex and Hallie have also had their share of pain. Can these three wounded souls come together and find something special...find a family? Brenda Mott pens a heartwarming story that will stay with you long after you close the book.
