An Excellent Resource, Guide and Direction for Priests

To Be a Priest offers myriad helpful writings for future and current priests. Written mainly for Anglican/Episcopal priests, the essays would be helpful to any priests, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, etc, and to pastors of other types of churches. The writings approach the theology, ecclesiology, vocation, challenges and perceptions of priesthood. The authors include Anglicans, Episcopalians, Roman Catholics and Orthodox writers. The perspectives are diverse but all learned and direct. It is unfortunate this book is out of print, but don't take that as a sign that it is unhelpful or out of date. I encourage you to buy a used copy and to read through it. Craig Stephans, author of Shakespeare On Spirituality: Life-Changing Wisdom from Shakespeare's Plays
