A Wonderful Read.

"Timeless Wonders" by Robert Moore surely lives up to its title. Contained in the book itself are descriptions of some of the most beautiful places to visit on our planet. These include, but are not limited to: the Victoria Falls, the Great Barrier Reef, the shores of Corsica, the beauty of Iceland, the fjords of Norway, the Swiss Alps, the inspiring English Lakes, Banff National Park, and many many more. The book spans the continents (Yes, even Antartica), capturing the ethereal beauty of these places through engrossing writing accompanied by stunning photography. The Writing: The written aspect of this book is perfect. It provides an easy read, while being immensely descriptive about each location. There is not an overload of information in that the reader tires of it quickly. Moore gives enough information about each place - in some cases brisk, but it is always very detailed. It makes one feel as if each place is sacred in itself. In some cases even, he gives a detailed description of how or an accepted theory of how (if there are multiple theories), some of these spectacular landscapes were formed. All of this is extremely interesting to read about, along with the present day information of the Wonder he describes. Photography: The photography is what will immediately arrest the reader's eye. Filling the entire book, are professional photos of each location that Moore writes about. The photos are vibrant and show off the true beauty of these places, almost making the reader feel as if he/she was right there in the picture, standing in front of the Wonder. Overall, it is a wonderful and informative book. If you wanted to know more about the world's natural wonders, or were thinking of travelling to a particular spot, I would recommend giving this a read. The content will not disappoint.
