Time Cast in Amber is a collection of writings - pieces of lost time - created over the course of several years. Written mostly for myself - to work out an idea or express some wonder - but also to preserve the moment in words to be retrieved, held and experienced again later. Each piece is a moment in time preserved as a dinosaur feather might be in amber. Heft each one, hold it in the changing light, and discover it anew. These essays - more poetry than prose - document various occurrences from Georgia to California to Israel and a large swath of territory in between. Too, they span my thoughts, my mind and moods and if this is sometimes weird and strange - I apologize.
