Throwback A must read.

Frank C. Strunk's THROWBACK is a must read for anyone who loves a good story and the mountains. Strunk is not concerned with political correctnessas are some writers. He is more interested in portraying the true character of mountain people both good and bad.

BRAVO A MYSTERY WITH HEART.

MR. STRUNKS ABILITY TO TAKE THE READER INTO ANOTHER TIME AND PLACE IS DONE WITH REMARKABLE SENSITIVITY TO THE PEOPLE OF KENTUCKY.WHILE MOST WRITERS CHARACTERIZE THEM AS 'LIL ABNERS.. MR. STRUNK HAS THE ABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING AND PASSING THAT ON TO THE READER,THAT A TRUE KENTUCKIAN HAS A GOOD HEART, GOOD SENCE AND ABOVE ALL INTEGRITY, ROOTS AND HONEST VALUES.. ALL THREE OF STRUNKS BOOKS ARE HARD HITTING MYSTERIES SMACKED WITH A HEALTHY DOSE OF KENTUCKY GOOD SENCE AND FIRMLY ROOTED IN THE MOUNTAINS. BRING US MORE BOOKS ABOUT THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR TIMES AND ALSO... WHERE DO WE FIND THOSE WONERFUL THROWBACK MEN?!

Excellent Appalachian suspense novel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel for three reasons. As a writer myself, I appreciated the fact that the characters were well drawn and the plot maintained excellent suspense. Because I live in the Appalachian part of North Carolina, I was especially impressed with the accuracy of the portrayal of the people of this region. I have never read a writer who got it better so I highly recommend the book.

Good Reading

This was the best book that I have read in a long time. It really kept my interest from cover to cover.

what? me worry?
