Thrive Fitness is a Solid Program!

Thrive Fitness is solid! Not only is it a great book about training but about nutrition too, and getting the MOST out of both. Brendan doesn't just make recommendations...he puts them into action. He's an ultra-marathon course record-holder, professional athlete, and you can tell he really cares...about his own health and athletic performance, and cares to help others achieve success in athletics too. Brendan Brazier delivers another gem with Thrive Fitness!! Much like it's predecessor, Thrive: The Vegan Nutrition Guide, Thrive Fitness provides a wealth of knowledge on all things fitness and plant-based nutrition oriented. A phenomenally gifted writer, Brendan details easy to understand strategies and tactics to boost creativity, productivity, and mental sharpness through the integration of plant-based nutrition and an effective (though not time consuming) workout routine. An expert in improving sports performance through nutrition and fitness, Brendan shares easy to apply workout methods (with photo illustrations of exercises) for increasing your energy and stamina and ultimately your overall health. This is the perfect book for those looking to improve their health and fitness in only a minimal amount of time commitment per day.

Figure Training Vegan

I have probably read this book AT LEAST 6 times and am continuously learning something NEW. I am training for a Figure Show and am doing it 100% Vegan and have found Brendan's book, Thrive to be full of tons of info on training as a Vegan. I have made a few of the recipes (Direct Fuel Bites, Energy Pudding, Recovery Pudding) and learned new tricks to pre-workout fuel (dates and coconut oil!). I feel 110% confident in all my training and decision to do it all 100% Vegan! If you're looking to live a healthier life and need some good info in the vegan direction, I highly recommend this book. Even a non-vegan, vegetarian or someone who eats animal products will enjoy the information in this book! Thanks Brendan for this incredible read!! Cheers to good health and happy training!

Thrive Fitness is your go-to book for a fit and healthy lifestyle

Thrive Fitness is that perfect exercise buddy you've always wished for. The know-it-all super healthy and fit buddy you can learn from on how to get in the best shape, how to not be as tired, what foods you should be eating after a workout, how to alleviate your knee pain, etc. The buddy who talks common sense yet keeps up with the most up-to-date nutritional and fitness information. And maybe even a little extra inspiration from the fact that this "buddy" has had extraordinary results following his own advice (aka author Brendan Brazier of professional Ironman triathlete and two-time Canadian 50km Ultra Marathon Champion notoriety). What I really appreciate about Thrive Fitness is Brendan's ability to translate his experiences and expert knowledge in the murky fields of fitness and health into a practical, flexible, solution-based guide. While training for my first marathon, Brendan's recipes for whole food energy bars (yum) and his Lemon Lime Sport Drink recipes proved both effective and invaluable. Plus, I was able to do all of my strength training at home without ever having to step foot into a gym. Having successfully completed my first race, I'm really looking forward to my next one -- knowing that I am well prepared with both the strength and the knowledge I've learned from this book. Thrive Fitness is one book I will continue to refer to for years.
