Another great book by Dorothy Stacy. This is a great way to get children interested in history while they are entertained by Rose, her family and friends. Can't wait for the third book!
Great second book!

This book is wonderful! Again Dorothy Stacy mixes history in with a great story about life in the 1840's. In this book Rose relates her adventures in Utica, a growing city at the time. She learns about farm life and the Erie Canal, as well as politics from a handsome neighbor boy. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history, and especially anyone who enjoyed the first book in the Erie Canal Cousins series!
