I was caught off guard by Doss's new style, but I latched on to it and loved it. A great read, wonderful tongue-in-cheek commentaries on action and characters, and Daisy is still a delightful character, spunky and independant - moreso in this book. Doss has gotten better. His earlier poetic style is here, but not overdone. It was pure pleasure reading this mystery!

The Charlie Moon Mysteries written by James D. Doss are wonderful. Everytime I finish one of his books I start looking for the next one. I enjoy Charlie Moon and Scott Parris (I love their relationship) but also enjoy Aunt Daisy. I hate to see her aging because I know Mr. Doss is going to have to let her die in one of his books and I am so afraid Mr. Doss will end the Charlie Moon series and also end hours of enjoyable reading for me. In Three Sisters I felt Mr. Doss was preparing his readers for Aunt Daisy's death. If so, I truly hope Mr. Doss will keep the series going with Charlie and Scott. Those two can get in enough trouble for many books in the future. Joyce
