True Love

This story is fiction, but the way Charles expresses himself the feelings and emotions are so real. "Three Blocks Down and One Block Over" is a story about 'True Love'. A love that very few people actually experience.Two children, Mary and Joshua, became best friends at a very young age. The first time they saw each other they fell in love but did not realize what had happened to them. Life takes them in different directions but Mary and Joshua never loose the love in their hearts for each other. Joshua is afraid of rejection from Mary so he loves her from afar without Mary knowing of his feelings for her. Mary has the same feelings for Joshua but 50 years has gone by before they are brought together and admit their feelings for each other. No one was able to get Mary's and Joshua's heart all these years because the love they had for each other was so real.He has added just enough comical situations to keep you smiling through out the book. For example, Faye, Mary's best friend and the rose tatoo.Another plus for the poetry lovers -- the poems. Very romantic.This is the first book by Charles Kahl. I can't wait for the next one. He expresses himself in such a way that you are caught up in all the emotions and feelings. I read all Danielle Steel books, and Charles Kahl's "Three Blocks Down and One Block Over" is equal to any book by Danielle Steel. Hope you enjoy the book as much as I did!
