In terms of covering everything that could be mentioned, this book does an excellent job of that. The narrative is easy and answers short to each questioned posed. Unfortunately, its not a book designed to be read like a novel; the subject matter is aimed only at those with some knowledge of Jewish Tradition (involving use of the Torah) and not for a genral audience. Its better as a referrence book and should be thought of as such. It is still a good book and I recommend it to anyone who has the questions listed in the book.

This book is worthwhile reading for those who want a solid background of how we came to have the Torah in the form it is today. It includes history of Torah survival and the key early and classical commentators. It explains how a Torah scroll is written and then is to be read. The book is mostly in question and answer format and is a worthwhile investment.
