Cute story!

I gave this book to my daughter for her 4th B-day and we both love it! Very cute story!

great book

my daughter LOVES Charlie and Lola. She'll be 3 in October. These are great books because it shows siblings actually being friends, but not in the sicky sweet sort of way. They still get on eachother's nerves, but are able to work it out in the end. I love the illustrations and typography.

This is Actually my Party

Charlie and Lola books are a favourite of my 4yr old grandson. This title appealed to his funny side. He has a cousin one month older and they do tend to think it's their day and their presents to open. Lauren Child knows how children think and her books are always a pleasure to read for parents and children.

This Is Actually My Party

Charlie & Lola are always entertaining. My 2 1/2 year old son loves them. We watch the show on the Disney Channel, own 3 of the dvds and have a few of the books. I would always recommend them to anyone. They are extremely funny (even for adults) and sweet without being sickeningly sappy like a lot of kids shows. The only reason I gave this one four stars instead of five is because this book is made from an episode of the tv show rather that being an original book. It is still very good but leaves out a lot of the detail from the episode it was made from. The Charlie & Lola books which are original are better.

How can you criticize anything associated with Charlie and Lola? All the books (this one included) are bright and colorful and read just like the TV series. As I read them I can hear the voices of Charlie and Lola. It's great fun to follow the free flowing written style that loops around and gets big and small and changes color. The artwork is reflective of the series and they are just pure joy to read. It also helps that I see a lot of Lola in my daughter, and even when she outgrows the books I know I'll hold on to them. Other books by Lauren Child are also great finds for your kids.
