Great California gold rush history.

I can't say that this is her best book. I didn't care for the fact that the hero was married to another woman. There was a lot of violence and that was realistic for the time. The relationship between the main characters was sexy and romantic. The history was well researched and for those of us in California that love this era, it is a wonderful read. This novel is just not as complex as some of her other novels.
