Great Choice for Me

I am a non-Catholic trying to understand the faith better and get closer to God. I do believe in Purgatory and understand the rationale behind the idea. This book provides me with prayers to say daily for the holy souls in Purgatory and has given me peace and comfort daily. I look forward to my prayer time daily and am thankful for finding this book.

A Treasure for Devotions to the Holy Souls

I purchased one of Susan Tassone's books after my son died as a way of focusing my grief by praying for him. I now own all of her books, but this one is my favorite. I constantly discover new and deeper meanings even though I have used this book for many 30 day novenas. A true gem!

A Wonderful Devotional

The Church teaches that the souls who are released from purgatory will intercede for us and help us. I am always looking for new methods of prayer so that I do not get bored and this one is excellent. It contains short prayers and meditations for each day and you are to weave the theme for that day into your daily life if possible. Small enough to tuck in your pocket or your purse, I highly recommend this book. Contains memorial prayers and the Heroic Act.

Fantastic little book

Each of the 30 devotions covered a specific topic and began with a quote from Scripture. This was followed by some interesting information about the Holy Souls from author Susan Tassone, who has a vast collection of books about Purgatory. This was followed by a prayer for the Holy Souls that was repeated each day. Each devotion ended with a quote from a saint about the Holy Souls. I loved this little book of 30 devotions. Each day I learned more and more about the Holy Souls. However, I found myself wanting to peak ahead to the next day! I will certainly wear this book out in praying for the Holy Souls!
