This is an excellent book and addesses a huge problem among Black women

This book basically breaks down relaxers, what they contain and how they work. VERY eye opening.

It's working

Read this book in a day and it makes very interesting reading, am trying the techniques to try and grow my hair, so far so good :o)

less is more

This book was helpful to me because it tells me that constantly applying chemical relaxers to your hair will eventually thin it out. You should apply relaxers less often because it is damaging to your hair.

When Used in Conjunction......

This information came at an excellent time because I just received a relaxer, knowing it is CAUSING thinning at my temples. This book has armed me with what I need to resist the addiction of relaxing/damaging my hair. It is only a 3 stars if you haven't read her book on growing your hair. It is well worth the price because I pay more than $30. for a "professional" relaxer, praying that I will have hair when the process is over. A head full of long, thick hair is priceless.
