An Appreciation for Thimbleberries Decorating Around the Year

Thimbleberries is one of my favorite design resources and Lynette Jensen never ceases to make me feel like I have entered the home of a dear friend with whom I share home decor tastes and loves. Her color choices follow along with the American Country Style I find myself repeatedly drawn to. She doesn't follow a minalistic design style that is very popular now: but Thimbleberries' books are not who I would turn to if I ever wanted to adopt a style of Minimalism. Her colors are warm and inviting and, the rooms shown, include elements anyone could easily incorporate into their own homes. And you don't have to be a master quilter to appreciate her examples of smaller endeavors such as wall hangings or pillows which could be adopted to anyone's color pallette. I have collected some Thimbleberries books from years ago but am heartened to discover that there are still a number of them that I am lacking. Also, I am happy to have a source where I am able to accomplish this without breaking the bank. This book, like all of Lynette Jensen's books, could be enjoyed by anyone who is endeavoring to explore pleasant home decorating ideas and projects with clear explanations for completing. And anyone, no matter their tastes, who enjoys making changes in their home's appearance as the seasons change. And those not limited by what you can see or purchase in a store. Lynette enjoys using nature to enhance her own surroundings which allows, the many people she traditionally opens her home to appreciate the outdoors as well.

I love this book, like anything else by Lynette Jensen! Want to create my home just like hers-only my walls have to many different colors. Need to re-paint them all in cream......... Some nice projects there ,too!

A New Favorite

This latest book is a must-have for all Lynette Jensen and Thimbleberries fans. Her house is beautifully decorated with quilts that are look both cozy and beautiful. If she gave tours, I'd go - but this book is the next best thing.
