It is a book on our human history and our views of state corruption.

I really liked this book from the historical global narrative of high stakes corruption and Sarah Chayes take on what to do next. The only thing missing was how much the C.I.A. and others made off with during our Middle East illegal unconstitutional undeclared wars. The parallels to our home front today is something to be considered since this could lead to an internal revolution bypassing our Constitution and rule of law evolution.
