AN EASY AND ENJOYABLE READ

HANK STRAM DOES A GREAT JOB WITH THIS CONCERNING HIS PRO FOOTBALL COACHING CAREER. THIS BOOK IS EASY TO READ AND KEEPS ON MOVING. HANK IS A GOOD STORY TELLER AND I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK. I FOUND THE HIGHLIGHTS TO BE THE TELLING OF FINALLY WINNING THE SUPER BOWL AND HIS RELATIONSHIPS WITH LEN DAWSON, LAMAR HUNT AND MANY OTHERS. AFTER HIS COACHING CAREER, HANK WORKED FOR CBS RADIO AND DID A GREAT JOB AS ANALYST FOR MANY YEARS. RECOMEND THIS FOR ALL CHIEF AND FOOTBALL FANS.

A Fabulous Look at a Truly All-Pro NFL Coach

This autobiography is done in a lucid way, just as though Hank Stram is talking with you. He reveals both the onfield and offield highlights of his career and how he looked at the game. Often misunderstood, especially by Lamar Hunt himself, Stram is the coach who brought quality, winning, and professionalism to the Chiefs. A Chiefs fan since 1966, I was not aware of the innovations he brought to football; even though I was well aware of the respect his players held for him, from conversations with Willie Lanier and others. It was almost a tragedy that he was admitted into the Hall of Fame only near the end of his life, but he was well deserving of that honor and though outspoken, a most compassionate coach with a winning attitude.

Henry Stram was a winner, both on and off the field

The recently deceased Hank Stram was an NFL-AFL Championship Coach (and star of NFL Films, micced up!) and did fine work as well later in the broadcast booth. He married and was faithful to the same woman for the rest of his life and had this to say in what became the last year of his life; "I've had a great life. I had the only job I ever wanted to have, married the prettiest cheerleader I met and won a Championship. I have no regrets!" I could not put it better. R.I.P., Hank!
