They Made a Monkee Out of Me by Davy Jones

Excellent read for all Monkee fans.Lots of information about Davy's life and also Davy's views on Mike,Peter and Micky and the Fans. Very interesting and difficult to put down. Lots of photos not seen before too.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my all time favorite books, I have read it a millions times, and I think all monkee/Jones/music/60's fans should definately read it

Daring and Informative

I was 12 years old when I received a copy of Davy's book THEY MADE A MONKEE OUT OF ME. It has left a lasting impression with me. I have found it to be extremely informative regarding Davy's past as well as regarding the truth behind The Monkees. Davy keeps the reader interested by using humorous anecdotes and wild stories to illustrate his points. It's a must-have for any die-hard Monkees fan.

A Must For Monkees Fans!

This book was a delight to read! Any fan of the Monkees and/or Davy Jones will love this book. Davy's wonderful sense of humor really shines through here. He is not only funny, but honest in how he presented facts dealing with certain aspects of his career, co-stars, relationships, etc., which were sometimes sensitive subjects. My hat goes off to Davy. More autobiographies should be written like this. Davy's a true gem!

HIghly entertaining, informative, and cheerfully charming.

This is a fun read, chock-full of anecdotes, tidbits, and Davy's self-deprecating humor. Definately worth the bucks, if you can find it. He doesn't sacrifice facts to spare himself when he has behaved badly, which in my opinion is proof of class when writing a GOOD autobio. I reread it periodically, something I do with very few other books.
