Beautiful and heartbreaking

I definitely felt a connection with these characters and the story maybe it’s because I’ve experienced deep and painful sibling grief but I definitely loved this book I do think I was totally shocked when SPOILER maybe? One of the characters died at the end it was so simple and I totally thought that it would be a dream 💔 this book is definitely worth it

Ex library book

I hate to say, this was not as interesting as the prequel. Book arrived in a well loved condition considering it was an ex library book.

A rollercoaster of emotion.

So, I’ve recently began reading again after a loooong hiatus and this was the first book I picked up. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to reach through the pages and hug these characters so tight; and even though Adam Silvera put the warning in the title, you’re still not prepared for what’s going to come. I will say, the ending can leave you a little empty, but it’s not terrible. I think it like a moment of respite, if you will. Overall great book. I couldn’t put it down. Definitely read it with a box of tissues next to you because you will cry (at least I did!).

Feeling Some Type of Way

This is the first book that I've absolutely DEVOURED in a long time. I finished it in two days -- I could not put it down. Be prepared to strap into an emotional roller coaster with this one, but it is definitely worth it.

I saw this suggestion on tik tok

I thought the book was ok I didn’t like the ending too much. It was easy to read but there was too many different random other peoples point of views in the story that I thought was a little unnecessary.

Really enjoyed

I enjoyed the slow burn of the book. It was good and kept me engrossed. I got really emotionally attached to these characters really fast, especially Mateo. I teared up at the end as well lol even though I knew what was coming. I hope you enjoy the boon too :)

A bit of a let down.

This was okay. A bit boring and seemed to drag at times. I couldn’t connect with it like I would’ve liked to. I enjoyed Denton Littles Death Date over this. But it was worth reading and the cover is beautiful.

Bought but never got

I bought this book and never got the book. It had said package was pending for months and now i’m screwed over because it says it’s been over 30 days and they can’t help me at all even thought two months into buying the package tracking said it was still pending.

Very emotional

This book definitely made me cry. It’s a really good emotional book for anyone who likes young adult and romance.

This is going to break your heart.... but read it anyway!

Be prepared that this book is going to break your heart but in the best ways. What would you do if you only had 24 hours to live? This story follows the lives of 2 young teens after they find out that today is the their last day to live. It is an adventure that will make you feel all the feels. This book is an exploration of friendship, family, love, and regret. The author did a wonderful job at really making you feel like you knew the characters. Two lost souls brought together by the same unfortunate circumstance. I know I am making this sound far more depressing than it is but I absolutely loved this book. It really makes you reflect on your own life and the choices you make daily. It made me appreciate that we truly don't know how much time we have left and that we should be purposeful with our time. I think this is a book that you can take so much away from.

Should have been shorter

This book felt so long. Could definitely be 100 pages shorter and still get the story across. The concept was really unique but mu hopes fell flat with execution.

I absolutely loved this book.

I don't typically read YA, but I didn't know this was YA when I picked it up. Anyway, it was excellent. I was really captivated by this concept of learning the exact day you'll die, the morning of. I would definitely recommend this one, and I could see this as a TV series, easily.

Amazing book.

this book is great. it didn’t take me long to finish it. I wanted to keep reading because I loved being with them on their adventure. The needing was heart breaking. I didn’t know what I was expecting but not that

Favorite book of 2020!

This book is one of my favorite books I've ever read. The characters are relatable, the topics are deep, and the whole philosophy of living your last day is terrifying. Despite the title, this is not a horror story. It is bittersweet and so, so human. It tells the story of two teen boys that have one day left to live according to the DeathCast system that is considered normal in their world. The boys try to do all the things they never were brave enough to try. Honestly, the entire book is engaging and mind-blowing. I was never bored and felt so connected to the characters. There is a reminder in this to live in the moment, and this book shows that in the best way possible.

Worth the read

I think this books is worth the read, however I also think it was a little bit overhyped in my opinion. I did not get overly attached to the characters and I feel like the point that you only live once and that you should live your life to the fullest was kind of shoved down your throat. The ending just also felt unfinished and, for lack of a better term, lame. However, I still think this was a great book was a good plot that was beautifully written and defiantly worth the read.

ouch

I didn’t expect to cry as much as i did, nonetheless this book was painfully beautiful and I’d do anything to be able to read it for the first time again.

Get The Audiobook

I highly recommend listening to the audiobook of this on audible or something. It’s actually one of the best audiobooks i’ve listened to ( the voice actors did a splendid job) as for the book itself I would BUY IT. Maybe the sophisticated readers who get a kick out of reading only classical literature may disagree but DANG. This book is truly heart warming. For me at least it was especially impactful because not many books treat lgbtq+ relationships as just a simple love story. ANYWAY buy the book it will make YOU UGLY CRY

Sad, but not too sad

Not for the faint of heart I will tell you that! I almost couldn't get passed the first 30 pages without having a breakdown thinking about that stuff happening in real life. Once I got passed that though, it was a relatively easy read. I finished it in one day, took about 6 hours. I was expecting it to be a lot sadder. I teared up, and it was depressing, but Silvera handled it in a way where even in death there's still hope for something better. It was a tad slow paced at times, but still definitely worth a reread. The quotes by themselves are worth it alone. “But no matter what choices we make - solo or together - our finish line remains the same … No matter how we choose to live, we both die at the end.”

Emotionally Profound

What would you do if you found out today was your last day to live? This book had my eyes glued to every page. From my very first glance at the title to the last sentence, this book held my attention captive and all the meanwhile weaved a heartbreaking story with relatable characters. Silvera cleverly uses time against his characters and readers, creating an emotionally profound experience. Definitely worth the read!

beautiful

This book left me with in a emotional state. I love this book so much and feel in love with the characters and there stories. There were so many times I wanted to reach myself beyond the pages and just comfort some of the characters.

This book has me in tears it’s so beautiful

I’ve had this book collecting dust for a little while, and I decided to finally read it. Little did I know I would get hooked and I wouldn’t be able to put it down. It’s such an optimistic book for an ending where they both die at the end, hence the name. I highly recommend this book. It’s a beautiful story of two people trying to live their last hours of life to the fullest.
