One of the BEST romantic/fiction saga's I've ever read in years. Its one of those books you remember and stays with you for days. Young, beautiful, orphaned girl, raised by her uncle in the country, chases her dreams.... ends up being the maid for wealthy people where she will meet one of the man who will fall in love with her. Gosh, this story had so many twists, emotional... Beautifully written, I can't say enough good things about this book. Really, you won't be able to put this book down!
I Loved This Book!

Valerie Sherwood was one of the best romance writers during the 1980s in my opinion. I happened to find this one lying around at my office and gave it a try.The heroine of the book is not your typical simpering virginal priss. She has a backbone and goes through enough twists and turns to make Susan Lucci or Joan Collins proud. She gets used by men. She uses men. She ends up with the man she really loves. I won't tell you which one, because that is part of the fun of reading the book is to see who she is ultimately going to end up with.As typical with a lot of the 1980s romances, this one takes itself pretty seriously, despite all of the melodrama. The twists and turns are unbelievable, but if you really want escapist romance, this is it.
