great scriptural study of the afterlife

This book is a great primer for the essential basics on the orthodox understanding on the soul after death. It will be enlightening to those who only hear that theres either heaven or hell as if these places are "two sizes fits all". Its content is easily grasped and the analysis of the various scriptural passages makes you wonder how such explanations are so overlooked . It includes the interpretation of the various christian thinkers on the subject from the early church. I highly recommend it.

Above review is entirely misguided.

I read this book after a very painful and tragic loss within my family. It is a "short" but profound and spiritually edifying read that left me hopeful at a time when there was very little "scientific" proof or rationality for the loss we endured. I am an Orthodox Christian and this piece of literature is indeed evidence that you do not need to have "scientific answers" to find comfort or solace in your time of need.... just hope.
