Incredible! I love the originality and imagination shown in the patterns presented here. Truly a must for any who would like to venture out and explore the art of crochet fashion and design! Many of her designs are works of art.
Great crochet book from the past

This is a super hardcover book of 72 crochet patterns by designer Jacqueline Henderson. The book contains lots of clothing and home decorating patterns. She is a master of color, and this book is a great way to start exploring freeform crochet. Her instructions are complete and easy to understand. The book is from 1980, and some of the patterns appeared in Woman's Day magazine before that. The biggest problem with the book is that not all of the projects are illustrated with a color photograph. I am working on the Pinwheel Pillow bag, which is a riot of color (I have the pages from the 1974 magazine) but the black and white photo in the book doesn't do it justice. Crocheters interested in the Philosopher's Coat in Donna Kooler's Encyclopedia of Crochet might want to check out Jacqueline Henderson's "Joseph's Coat" from 25 years ago!
