An Engrossing Read with a Message

This a great read. Steve Chandler caught my attention in the first chapter and held it clear to the end. It may be a hackneyed expression, but "I literally could not put it done." Especially notable is the masterful way Steve weaves in pearls of insight for successful living. I think you are really going to love Steve's venture into this new genre.

Mix of Mystery, Coaching & budding Love Story

Steve has stretched his writing to a new, and much higher, level. He cleverly mixes coaching tips and philosophy into this murder mystery story. And, he added a budding love interest for the main character, Robert Chance. It was unputdownable. I had to find out "who done it" and also wanted to know if Chance would act on his growing affection for his associate/client. Not sure of the ethical issues in "dating" a client, but maybe he'll deal with that in his next installment "A Crime of Genius". Chandler has, in essence, followed his own teachings from so many of his other books and CREATED a new, very entertaining and enjoyable, type of novel: educational mystery. Richly Woven Mystery meets Personal Development

Not only does he tell a compelling story, but through the dialogue he delivers stellar coaching that readers can apply in their own life. Choosing an ex-cop turned personal coach as the main character was a brilliant move! The story unfolds with all the suspense of the best mystery novels, told in a conversational style that causes the reader to think of their own life. As a coach myself, I found nuggets in the book that served as training for situations that arise in my practice. The characters are interesting and lovable, and the story has just enough twists to make it difficult to put down. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story and is interested in growing as a person.

A suspenseful page turner!

I could not put this book down! It is a great pager turner with philosophical purpose. A novel with romance and intellect.
