This actually was quite good. I wasn't expecting much from a Harlequin, but it surprised me. The secondary story with Hugh and Meg was actually quite funny. Ebony and Alex didn't quite have the chemistry that the other couple had. I did like the way the author wrote the initial love scenes as though the heroine were dreaming. The denial felt more realistic than if Ebony had just jumped in without any qualms. There were no great surprises but this was a very pleasant read.

Medieval romances are my favorite. The Widow's Bargain is one of the best I've read. Great story, accurate and interesting historical setting, complex characters and VERY steamy and plentiful love scenes! This one is a keeper. Please keep writing them like this Ms. Landon!!!
