I am not a chef on any account except the freelance sort of cooking that comes out "just right" from time to time. This book, however, has gripped my interest in antiquity rather that gastronomy. It is filled with little oddities that are no longer practiced in any kitchens that I know of. It certainly is a fun book to browse through...and, yes, that part of a raccoon can be quite good (in accordance to the book).
