This is the third book of Kenny Kemp's that I have read. This book, just as the others, provokes thought and introspection. He paints an image of Jeshua that is logical and inspiring. We often think of Christ as he appears in the Bible, bigger than life, not as a living, breathing, thinking person. In "The Welcoming Door" we see him as a man who worked hard, was subject to fatigue, hunger, anger and laughter. I feel he makes the image of Christ more clear, bigger somehow. I urge everyone to read this book. I think there are lessons in here for all of us. Thank you Kenny Kemp, I think you have given us all a gift.

This book should be read not only by adults but also young people. Kenny has brought Christ to our level..and yet keeps him at a higher level that gives comfort. This is different from what Kenny has written before..but just as enjoyable. Christ is definitely alive and well in Kenny and as a result..in this book.
The Author Says . . .
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 22 years ago
For more than twenty years I have worked as a contractor, and have often pondered why Jesus chose carpentry as his trade. The scriptures tell us nothing of his life between the ages of 12 and 30. I suppose he was working, learning and experiencing life . . . and taking stock of the human condition. So it was logical to place Jesus in the very stories he would later teach as his parables. Writing it has given me insights into the dual nature of Christ: his intense humanness, combined with an eternal understanding of the purpose of life. I am proud to share these stories with you---I hope you enjoy them.
