Nail-biting suspense with strong spiritual themes-including the role of prayer in the battle between good and evil. Enjoyable for fans of Dekker and Peretti. This description may be from another edition of this product.

Not for me!

I got to page 68 and put this book away. Couldn't read anymore. Can't understand all the 5 star ratings for this. If you want something worthwhile to read get the Babylon Rising series by Tim LaHaye & Greg Dinallo. Now those are 5 star books.

Against powers and principalities.

My daughter gave me this book for Christmas, not knowing what it was, but sinse 'mom" is Christian it would probably work. Every one else has said something about the plot etc, so I won't even go there, just say that I read the book in almost one strecth, even at work when i shouldn't have. BUT..... For anyone who has had an encounter with the living Jesus Christ, this book will tear you wide open in the most wonderful way..... I sobbed my way through Abby's dream, When she finally beheld the hope of the world through an old womans eyes. I tried to read the passage to my 15 year old, but I wept too much.... it took me back to my own encounter with jesus, when I met him and KNEW that he was real.... Besides from the crying which happened several times during my reading, I finally got a real feel for what It means when the bible says we are fighting against powers and principalities, and that Satan is ruling the world... An awesome book, and I cant wait to read the follow up. ps. I saw the writer has written books with Tommy Tenney.... So to anyone reading this, : if you ever felt like you didnt really know jesus, but would like to, Read these books, because these men has without a doubt met the prince of Peace, My jesus.

Intriguing Novel of Suspense

Come along with Mark as he invites you to travel with Abby Sherman around the world. Well written, I couldn't put down this book because there are surprises every step of the way in her quest to obey her Creator. With strong support and understanding of who she is, her helpers guide the teenager into a deep supernatural world where she discovers gifts beyond her wildest imagination. She learns of an ancient linage that will always be despite her enemies best efforts to distinguish the lineage. Mark is predictable in writing page turning supernatural adventure, this is no exception. Paulette L. Harris Author/reviewer

Book Review: The Watchers by Andrew Mark Olsen

Abby Sherman doesn't know what's happening to her. Strange vision-like dreams interrupt her dreams each night. A typical teenager, she posts these occurrences on her blog, hoping someone else out there will relate to what she's experiencing. Suddenly her world is turned upside-down and she is the only one that can find out why. Abby sets off on a journey that will forever change her life and the lives of those she encounters. She must travel across the world and back with the one man she fears the most - the man sent to silence her. Can she find the answers she so desperately seeks? Andrew Mark Olsen, author of The Assignment brings readers another thrilling spiritual adventure in The Watchers. Filled with suspense and intrigue, this book will draw readers in and keep them on the edge of their seat until the very end. Olsen is a gifted writer whose creativity can make the reader feel as if he or she is witness to a real-life drama instead of a novel. I thoroughly enjoyed The Watchers. It is well written and gives a glimpse into the spiritual dimension that we don't often think about.

terrific exhilarating romantic fantasy

Twentyish Abby Sherman is undecided what she will do with her life, but the deeply religious young woman is not concerned as she believes the Lord will show her the way. However, Abby is shocked to find out she has been contaminated with an inexplicable, deadly disease and given a short time to live. She posts her story including some strange dreams onto her blog. Thousands of women claim the same experience turning Abbey's blog into a popular site and her into an online star. Abby feels she owes it to everyone to learn the truth before she dies and make it clear on her blog that she intends to pursue this quest. Black Ops sniper Dylan Hatfield is assigned to kill Abby. He internally objects because he feels she has done nothing wrong to deserve death. He decides before completing this distasteful project, he will at least learn why this Abby is considered a danger needing elimination though he also fears the truth will make him aware that perhaps he is playing for the wrong team. At times graphic, WATCHERS is a terrific exhilarating romantic fantasy with the emphasis on the action on the mortal and supernatural planes. The story line is fast-paced yet quite vivid and needs a warning label: once started one can not stop reading this book. Abby is a strong female lead who wants to do good deeds before dying although she confesses to herself that she would like to know why for closure purposes too. Dylan in some ways is the more fascinating character as he has always been the loyal soldier willing to die for his mission, but has doubts about the honor of this assassination. Readers will appreciate this strong thriller that circles this world and that beyond. Harriet Klausner

The Best of the Best

In an adventure so complex, moving and most of all, captivating, the author takes you onto the spiritual battlefield. I have never given a 5 star rating out before, waiting instead for that extraordinary novel to appear. This is that novel. On this incredible journey you will find hope in times of need, the necessity of unity in Christ and the 'breaches' caused by ignorance and hatred. Yet most of all it is about healing those wounds and unifying His Body. Five Stars, David Brollier
