This book is the most entertaining thing I've read in a while. The perfect escape from bad news and bad times. Well-written and enjoyable, and just hot enough to really take your mind off things!

picked this up on a whim last night, and as soon as I started reading it I was hooked. I've loved mythology in general for years, and Greek/Roman mythology is the easiest to find, so I was intrigued by the premise Kathleen Nance set up with Zeus and Hera (with an original -- more human -- spin on their personalities that still fit with ancient myths about them) as matchmakers trying to atone for their sins of the past by giving the decendants of the numerous women Zeus dallied with the gift of true love (with marriage to a decendant of one of the sons of Olympus) to break the curse on their families that had resulted from his dalliance. However, the power of the king and queen of the gods is dwindling, and Hera plans to leave Zeus forever ...'The Warrior' comes after 'The Trickster', and I'm about to go out to get that book today!
Wow! I loved it!

Special Agent Armond Marceaux had no memory! He had been running on instinct for days until Callie Gabriel showed up. She obviously knew him though. She was pregnant with his child! Without letting her know of his memory loss, he made excuses to stay near her so he could learn more about himself. The more he learned, the less he liked himself and the more he cared for Callie. Zeus and Hera were playing "Cupid". Long ago Hera had harmed a woman named Callisto. Hera was determined to make amends by bringing true love to one of Callisto's decedents, Callie Gabriel. Her mate was to be a decedent of Ares, Armond Marceaux. Bad things happened to Gabriels who married. Not only to the bride, but to the whole family. Generations have proved it! So all members of the Gabriel family were independent, all Gabriels were females, and all Gabriels gave birth to only daughters! Therefore, Callie knew her unborn child was female and would not marry Armond. Besides, Armond's work (FBI) always came before her. He left twice, without saying good-bye, and disappeared for months! At the same time, someone high in command of the Atlanta division of the FBI had betrayed Armond to one of his enemies. Armond's memory loss was due to experiments of DC-909c and psychic studies. They were watching him. As his memory returned, he and Callie became targets! ***** WOW! A lot going on in this story! I never had a dull minute. It was not choppy (as most are with so much happening). Instead, it flowed smoothly and kept me riveted! Recommended! *****
Nance scores big with The Warrior

She has an original concept, of Zeus and Hera, exiles to the planet earth, mellowing in their twilight years. Zeus now runs a fireworks factory and Hera the top of the line in youthology makeup. Zeus has set himself to task to help out the descendants of his many seductions, to teach these women to love and trust and break the curse of being born from him. Only one problem, they find these women will only bond correctly with descendants from others of the Olympic Gods. Won't spoil all the fun, but this time the task is to bring Callie and Armond together. He is the warrior son descendant of Ares, the bringer of Justice, and everyone know one of Ares blood can never love. Callie is the veggie chef that is scared of her own shadow.Nance gives you strong secondary characters, with nearly all them finding out about each other and themselves, learning and growing. Masterful tale that I could not put down. ...
Great paranormal

Trying to make amends for all the trouble he caused mortals millenniums ago, Zeus with the aid of his wife Hera play matchmaker to mortal descendants of the Mount Olympus pantheon. Their first effort shockingly succeeded as they usually cause havoc when interfering, but Joy Taylor and Mark Hennessy seem like a match made in heaven, that is Greek heaven. Zeus chooses Callie Gabriel, a distant offshoot of Callisto as target number two. However, before the Gods can intercede, Callie becomes involved with FBI Agent Armand Marceux, who is suffering from drug-induced amnesia caused by his enemies. Armand happens to come from Ares' seed, which leads to Hera worrying that with the God War in his gene pool, this mortal cannot understand love. Zeus and Hera know they have a Herculean task ahead of them. THE WARRIOR, the second "Sons of Olympus" tale, is an entertaining romance that brings the Ancient Greek mythos of interfering in mortal lives to the information age. The story line is amusing, filled with suspense, and provides an intriguing look at mythology. Readers will find this tale of immortal redemption quite unique and refreshing, and want to seek out the previous novel (THE TRICKSTER). The audience will anxiously await Kathleen Nance's next story, THE SOUL SEEKER.Harriet Klausner
