First off this was written in 1915 during WWI and is based on a group of women are working at the hospital in the day and in a canteen (serving fast food and beer or wine). The head of this operation is a woman with a very large sense of her own importance. She is the ultimate paper pusher and makes up as being a royal pain in the ass with her ideas and directions.
