I just finished The Virgin's Makeover and I thought it was excellent. Judy Duarte had me hooked when I read a short excerpt on her website. This story was engaging from page one and the characters were likeable, believable, and smart. Lissa Cartwright may be a 27-year-old virgin, and a plain-Jane in disguise, but she's no prim schoolmarm. To catch the attention of sexy businessman Sullivan Grayson, she sheds her humdrum exterior, and her clothes, surprising him with a not-so-innocent seduction! Sullivan's in no hurry to settle down, and Lissa plays it perfectly, offering him a modern, no-strings affair. I love that she doesn't become a hopeless clinger after they go to bed together, or even after she realizes she's fallen for him. Because Lissa remains somewhat elusive, Sullivan can't resist her. The romance is sweet, the ending is very satisfying (who doesn't love a hard-to-get bachelor, not to mention a sexy makeover?) and the writing is excellent. Judy Duarte is a pro, and you can't go wrong with The Virgin's Makeover.
