This book is a wonderful introduction to the Viking warriors, written for the younger reader. It contains information on the Vikings, their lives, their weapons and their ships. And, not only is the text highly informative, but the book is crammed full of large illustrations by the incomparable Angus McBride. It is a great book; one that anyone interested in the Vikings should read.[If you are interested in this book, another one that you will enjoy is The Barbarians: Warriors and Wars of the Dark Ages by Tim Newark, also illustrated by Angus McBride.]
