Absolutely wonderful recipes for all types of German and Austrian desserts. Fresh fruit tortes, cookies, flavored whipped creams, etc. All sorts of treats you'd expect to find in a good coffee shop.As a surprise bonus, the three chapters on traditional flourless pastries was great when my grandmother needed a gluten free diet. It was a treat to find great recipes which happened not to use flour. Try the bean torte. Honest.A note to the publiser: reprint please!
Wonderful, easy to use and authentic.

I am Austrian (Viennese), and have used this book for years. I found my first copy at the United Nations bookstore, and now just ordered a second copy for my daughter. The book is well written, easy to read and follow. However, the most outstanding quality is that the recipes truly deliver authentic Austrian pastries without having to convert measurements! Thank you Leilly Reich.
