Book Overview

Entertainment Weekly hails the Secret, Book, and Scone Society series by the beloved New York Times bestselling author as "a love letter to reading." In this entrancing new story, bookshop owner, bibliotherapist, and occasional sleuth Nora Pennington must enlist the help of her brilliant, brassy librarian friend to unravel the connection between The Scarlet Letter, an obscure 19th century writer, and a dead hiker......

Seriously sooooo good!!!!!

Ellery Adams has done it again! *insert Chef’s Kiss* When The Secret Book and Scone Society find one of their own in trouble they will do anything to protect her! Calling upon the strength of friendship, the comfort of home baked foods and the knowledge of written word. With deeply written characters and a cozy picturesque town called Miracle Springs, Ellery Adams has woven a rich tapestry of friendship, mystery, intrigue and murder with a touch of romance! All reasons why I continue to reach for her wonderfully written books! In this story you’ll find the reiterance of the importance of friends, and of reading, the importance of the two together. This group of women, although different with different cultures and beliefs and likes and dislikes had come together first through enjoyment of reading, and then were cemented through friendship. It’s a touching and steady theme throughout the book. A reminder that good relationships can add to the enjoyment in our lives and should be sought out. With each step in this mystery, we’re learning more about each of them, more about Miracle Springs, and more about some of the secrets that a small town can keep… In all, a wonderful and enjoyable read! The only thing that could make it better is if I was reading this in a cozy little nook inside Miracle Books with a nice hot coffee in hand. I recommend the entire series!!
