In the first tale of the Sven Kingdoms we are in Hewslez, a kingdom with few prospects, surrounded by six powerful neighbours. As the spindly, selfish Yoozurp rises to become king, former prisoner of war Ogbar (species unknown) ascends to head chef in the palace, in charge of a busy kitchen filled with the kingdom's young castaways. All they want in life are the usual things - love, family, a full belly. Realising that his terrible behaviour has done nothing but offend the other kingdoms, Yoozurp decides he must do something to impress them and stave off probable invasion. He puts his faith in his impressive, mountainous chef and charges him with preparing a feast fit for kings and queens. But all is not well in the kitchen. A poltergeist has chosen its moment to cause trouble and threatens to derail the plan. The kingdom is at stake as battle commences ...
