A Great Marketing 101 Primer!

As a small business owner myself, I've found a lot of useful tips from this book, from for do-it-yourself marketing, step-by-step instructions for creating your business cards, a professional bio, letters, brochures, press releases, ads, web site content to newsletters. It shows you how to create professional-looking promotional pieces without spending lots of money. I also really liked the guidelines to coming up with a 30-second sound bite, and writing an effective tag line (that actually says something useful...).

Practical, Insightful, Real-Life

Over the past several months I have applied many of the recommendations in this exceptional book. I am pleased to say my results have been extraordinary! Of particular help were the sections on sales letters, brochures and postcards. I have implemented many of Ms. Peter's recommendations and have been delighted with the positive response. Great Toolkit. Lives up to its title.

This is a great reference for anyone interested in marketing. I recently took a job that involves some marketing and do not have a background in business. I found the book to be very helpful in getting started and learning the bacics. The Ultimate Marketing Toolkit is very user freindly,keeps your attention and is filled with great advice. It has a unique feature in that you can start at any chapter. If you are interested in designing a business card you go to the correspondng chapter and if you want to work on brochure lay out you go to that one. Definitely a thumbs up!

Don't do anything more in your business until you read this book.

From the "Thirty Second Soundbite" to the last chapter, I couldn't put this book down. It was one revelation after another, as the author clarified things that seemed so complicated before. The book walks you through all the major aspects in showing your professionalism as a business or growing your existing business, whether small or large, with minimal expense. And all done without techno-babble, written in easy-to-follow steps and a clear format that includes examples, helpful tips, warnings of what to avoid, good outlines, and reviews of each chapter. Obviously written with a great deal of experience, Peters shares with the reader the most well-kept mysteries about important business builders, from writing a business letter or an ad to building a web site. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to be pro-active in their own business and watch it grow by putting their best professional foot forward.
