Unique, warm and courageous story of an environmental pioneer who saved the Ridley Turtles

Evelyn Sizemore was not only the best person to write this book, but possibly the only person who had the passion and grace to tell this story so beautifully. The added bonus to this book is Evelyn's black and white photographs. Amazing how the current message of sound environmental policies for the protection of endangered animals confirms the pure wisdom of their early struggles to save the Ridley turtles on the beaches of South Padre Island some 20 or 30 years ago.
