The Truth and nothing but the truth....

This text certainly debunks the MYTH of Reagan's experiment into supply-side economics. It is a well written and balanced review of the economics of the time period and written just after the experiment. The author is an economics expert and further explains under what conditions supply side economics would work. Reagan's massive tax cuts and massive increases in Government spending during a Recession induced by the FED to break inflation, doomed Reagan's plan from the start and the statistics do not lie. The wealthy were the winners and often the winners write mainstream history and this results in the maintenance of the MYTH. In fact much of the allure surrounding the Reagan presidency was a myth. Had roles been reversed and Clinton had lied to millions of Americans about the Iran-Contra Affair, Clinton would have been impeached and removed from office.
