Absolutely Right on the Mark

This is a wonderful tale of two pre-adolescent girls who realize that change isn't always easy, but isn't always for the worst either. Annie and Rachel have know each other all of their lives and have always done everythign together, but things are about to change drastically for both of them. Ms. Miles touches on the many changes that occur in life, and looks at them throught the eyes of two 13 year old girls. This is an easy and quick read, and I know it will appeal to many pre-adolescent girls out there. Ms. Miles has made seeing things through the eyes of young women seem easy.

The Trouble With Thirteen

This book about two girls (Annie & Rachel) shows how divorce feels from two almost teenage friends point of view. It all starts when Rachel reveals to Annie that her parent are getting a divorce. Then she tells Annie that she is moving to New York City. The first time that Rachel stays in New York for the weekend and stays with her aunt she meets two kids called Erica and Bruce. They show her around town and tell her about the new school that she will be going to, Barclay. When rachel comes back Annie gets jealous of her new city friends. This is the greatest book!
