Challenging Assumptions about Deconstruction

Deconstruction and negative theology are not regularly considered together. However, Hart suggests this has more to do with the assumptions of readers of deconstruction - particularly readers of Derrida. He argues that, by the nature of deconstruction itself, it must be open to alternative readings. He goes on to demonstrate once again that philosophy and theology are not necessarily inconsistent. Hart's basic argument is that negative theology is in fact a form of deconstruction. His text is a challenging read and a refreshing "deconstruction" of a number of other readings of deconstruction.
