In 2012, a document collector by the name of Rudy Glock received information that a diary may have been hidden at a church in Palm Beach, Florida. The diary had allegedly been placed there, in 1965, by a man who called himself August Pilgrim. To his amazement Glock was able to recover this diary, and over a period of months he typed it into a rough word document, which he later sold to the author of this work.Pilgrim recorded, along with his own exciting adventures, a separate document, allegedly written by a 17th century Florida Indian, to a priest in the Spanish mission system. This document, known as a "confesionario", was used by an associate of August to encrypt the locations of hidden money from two bank robberies, in the early 1930's.Readers of this book have an opportunity found nowhere else. According to August Pilgrim, this money was never recovered; however the confesionario, along with the numbers to decrypt its location, remain in his diary. As author of this work, I took artistic license with the diary material furnished by Rudy Glock, and the story of how he found it. I know the parts I had to embellish, but everything else I believe to be completely true, including the hidden money. A reader with enough time and gumption will prove it so. News of the discovery of these monies will be reported on a website, www.treasureofaugust.com. The book may ignite a spirit of adventure in many readers; some will go treasure hunting. Barry Miller
