Simple and to the point

I came across this book at a local bookstore and picked it up just to see what it was about since it was so small. It was a great story that showed how one can seek perfection and miss all the great things that happen in life and how you can't carry time with you it fades. Great Story.

Fantastic story!!!

This is a wonderful story of a little boy who almost misses happiness because he's too concerned with perfection. It repeatedly reminds me how relationships are what is important in life. I bought multiple copies to give to loved ones of all ages... one is 8 years old, another is 67, the third is 35. It is a fantastic book, and makes an excellent gift for any occasion.

This small book speaks volumes

I too found myself browsing this book at Starbucks. The darling illustrations drew me in, but the message compelled me to stay. I must have picked up/put down that book 3 times before I realized I wasn't going home without it. I'm giving it as a gift to the one it reminded me of: a young man who has said good-bye to a girl with a pretty smile (my daughter). She and I both had tears in our eyes upon finishing. I hope this book helps others to open their eyes and live in the here and now. Dreams are grand, but a life spent chasing can end up a life wasted.

Made me stop and think

I picked this up at a Starbucks while I was waiting for my latte today, and I was so engrossed I didn't hear the barista call my name. I love the simple message of this book, and I think it's perfect for this time of year. We all need an occasional reminder to evaluate what is really important in our lives, and this book does that in a subtle, sublime manner. I loved the green of the backpack, as well - the illustrations were perfect.

straight to the heart

Simple and to the point, this story will wake you back up before you sleep through the best days of your life. Read it, pass it on to your children, and put a copy into the hands of your friends.
