Excellent detail based on vast experience

Rick Jamison is a professional trapper who wrote this book at age 36 while he was a full-time trapper. It goes into much greater detail than most books such as this, and has a huge number of black-and-white photos taking you VERY CLEARLY thru each procedure step by step. It emphasizes coyote and bobcat trapping more than other species, and has little on the Candian furbearers such as fisher and wolverine. But it covers beaver, mink and muskrat adequately, and does a good job re raccoon and fox. It has too much coverage of trapping predators in the Southwest and not enough coverage of water-trapping in the Midwest. But it is excellent and a "must-have" for the would-be trapper.
